AIR SEPARATOR

It is used to separate a mixture of soybean kernels and soybean shells.

The AIR SEPARATOR consists of:

From the dehuller mill the mixture of crushed soy, shells and kernels is fed into inlet connection with the help of conveyor.

Gradually, the mass moves in the air separator. Using the outlet (44) a cyclone-fan system is connected to the air separator, which creates a flow of air.

Soybean shells are very light allowing the air flow to move husks up and output them through the cyclone (OTИ-1000).

The soybean kernels move down and being discharged from the air separator through the lower branch pipe. 

The soy kernels compared to whole soybeans contains:

• a low fiber

• a high protein

The next step is feeding soy kernels into the extruder.
